Experience report ICRR2023:
The 17th International Congress for Radiation Research ICRR2023 was held this year in Montréal, Canada and it was combined with the 69th Annual Meeting of the Radiation Research Society RRS.
It was a great opportunity to meet brilliant and passionate scientists from Research Societies from all over the world and discuss the new research topics in this field. The scientific program was so rich and the talks from the guest speakers were outstanding. From the interesting talks that I attended were “CRISPR-cas9- Application and Developments in Radiation Research” presented by Dr. Graeme Hewitt from King‘s College London and the talk of Prof. Med. Dr. Sana Karam from the University of Colorado about the “Radiation and the immune effects in HNSCC: local, regional, & systemic”.
I had also the pleasure to meet the Nasa scientist Dr. Robin Elgart who focuses on investigating the impact of space radiation on astronauts’ health.
The poster sessions were so various and cover several topics and I had the opportunity to present my research project in the poster session of “Machine Learning, Omics, Epigenomics, Metabolism, Second Malignancies”.

Experience report Wolfsberg Meeting 2023:
The DeGBS international travel scholarship provided me with a great opportunity to attend the Wolfsberg Meeting 2023, which was held at the Hurdalsjøen Hotel in Norway from June 17-19, 2023. Attending this meeting brought me together with leading radiation researchers from various disciplines. The meeting provided an excellent platform for me to present my work and exchange ideas with other scientists. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to DeGBS for their support, which made my participation in this remarkable conference possible.
